When to go to Taiwan?
While southern Taiwan enjoys a tropical climate, the north experiences a humid subtropical climate. It is hot in summer, both day and night, with frequent rains. The island is hit by typhoons in spring and autumn, and the humidity is relatively high. The average annual temperature hovers around 22°C and can fall between 12°C and 17°C in the lowlands. The period between late October and early March is ideal for visiting Taiwan, as the weather is milder and the rains less frequent. In addition, typhoons are rare at this time of the year.
