When to go to the Phillippines ?
The Philippines have a tropical climate, with a mild temperature through the year (around 26°C) and fairly heavy rainfall. The wet season or Tag-ulan runs from June to October and the dry season (Tag-inít or Tag-araw) runs from November to May, during which time the plains are at their hottest. During January and February, the rainfall is minimal and the mercury at its lowest. However, due to climate change, the seasons are sometimes reversed in the country, so that rains can last until December (and even until March on the east coast of the archipelago). In addition, Asian typhoons (bagyo) often hit the Philippines during the monsoon bringing with them strong winds and cyclones. However, the Philippines mountain range shelters the west coast and the interior of the islands, sparing them from the wind.
