When to go to Martinique?
Martinique has two seasons and a tropical climate: A sunny dry season with mild temperatures between 23°C and 25°C and the wet season with higher temperatures. We advise visiting Martinique during the dry season from December to April to fully enjoy the idyllic beaches.
The intensity of rain on the island is seasonal, although the seasons are not markedly different as the sun shines for most of the year. The dry season known as "Carême" (Lent) begins in December and ends in April or early May. Some rain can fall during this period but it is brief and not heavy. Temperatures are a little milder than during the wet season and are around 23°C to 25°C. The second season called "hivernage" runs from May to November and is characterised by a warmer and more humid atmosphere. The average temperature is 27°C, August and September being the hottest months. Violent rains can occur suddenly and at any time.
Therefore choose the months of December to April for your trip to Martinique to enjoy the idyllic setting of this island paradise.
