When to go to Lebanon?
Influenced by the sea together with the arid mountain foothills and the very diverse landscape, the Lebanese climate varies from one region to another. Generally, Lebanon enjoys a mediterranean climate characterised by a hot summer and a mild winter. The country experiences a high level of sunshine, with the sun being present for at least 300 days per year. The coastal strip – which gathers the country’s main cities – experiences maximum temperatures of between 30°C and 35°C in the months of July and August, and an average of 15°C in winter. In the mountains, winters are harsh and snow forms regularly. The country incidentally possesses a few ski resorts.
