When to go to Ireland?

The weather never ceases to animate conversation in Irish pubs. Rain is a given in Ireland, so don’t forget your coat and umbrella when packing. Influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, the climate is generally mild and cool all year round. If the coast is windy, the hinterland and its green plains are protected by the mountains. Rain is frequent regardless of the season. However, it is rare that it rains for long, and the grey clouds depart quickly, especially in summer.

A trip to Ireland is unlikely to be too hot or too cold. The weather is rather unpredictable but temperatures are not extreme. The best time to discover Ireland is from May to August with a preference for May and June, the sunniest and driest months.
