When to go to Bermuda?
Bermuda enjoys a subtropical climate with warm temperatures all throughout the year, but sometimes along with heavy rainfall. Violent winds and hurricanes can also move through the archipelago. To get the most out of one’s trip to Bermuda, and enjoy the richness and beauty of these islands, it is important to know the best times for tourism.
In Bermuda, there is not really a dry or a wet season. You can nevertheless consider winter as being the months running from October to April. This winter is relatively mild because during this period temperatures still rise up to 27°C in October, without ever falling below 21°C for the months of January, February and March. The months of October and January are also the rainiest and the sunshine lasts for a shorter time than the rest of the year.
The most appropriate time to visit, which one can consider as being summer, is the period starting in the month of May to the month of September. Maximum temperatures reach 30°C while minimum temperatures go from 19°C in May to 24°C during the other months. The water temperature hovers between 24°C and 28°C, which is ideal for enjoying the beaches. Rainfall is not necessarily lighter than the winter months – this means that the month of August receives the strongest annual rainfall. With respect to the winter season, winds lose their strength to become light breezes.
Due to the effects of the Gulf Stream, temperatures in Bermuda remain consistently warm. There is significant rainfall, especially during certain months. Visiting this archipelago is therefore still possible all throughout the year, even if the period running from May to September is the ideal time for taking advantage of the fine sand beaches, the pleasantly warm water, and the hot sunshine.
