When to go to Aruba?
A small Caribbean island off the coast of Venezuela, Aruba enjoys a particularly warm climate of the tropical variety. It is one of the sunniest islands in the Caribbean, with low rainfall, especially between February and August. The region is regularly subject to trade winds which cool the air down.
The rain season is between October and December. This rainfall nevertheless does not occur often. Tropical storms can occur but Aruba is relatively unaffected by hurricanes. During this season minimum temperatures are between 25°C and 27°C while maximum temperatures reach 33°C, temperatures which are highly suited to outdoor activities. The sea temperature is 28°C, pleasantly warm for swimming in the turquoise waters.
From January to June, the dry season begins. The temperatures are slightly lower at between 30°C to 32°C during the day, but minimum temperatures never fall below 25°C. There is a very substantial amount of sunshine, even if March and April remain the driest months. The climate is also regularly cooled down by winds coming from the Atlantic Ocean. The sea temperature, at 26°C, will allow you to enjoy the magnificent white sand beaches and to have fun engaging in multiple water sports as well as scuba diving.
Aruba is a destination that you can enjoy all year round as the temperatures stay consistently warm. For a trip to Aruba, the months running from October to June are nevertheless the most recommended for getting the most out of the sunshine and beaches.
