When to go to Anguilla?
Located to the east of Puerto Rico, Anguilla is an island with a hot and humid tropical climate. All throughout the year, temperatures stay consistent, even if the weather is drier during the months of January to June than the months of July to November where the effects of moisture are felt more.
During the wet season from July to November, maximum temperatures change very little at around the 32°C mark, and minimum temperatures do not fall below the 26°C mark. There is a very substantial amount of sunshine, even if heavy downpours (which only last for a short time) can occur, mainly towards the end of the afternoon. As is the case in most of the Lesser Antilles, October and November are the rainiest months, the time when hurricanes occur. The air can be stifling during this time, but it is frequently cooled down by trade winds blowing from the north-east.
To get the most out of your trip to Anguilla, the dry season remains the best time to visit the island and enjoy the magnificent white sand beaches. From December to June, there is a peak amount of sunshine. Temperatures change very little and are at between 29°C and 32°C during the day, and minimum temperatures are between 23°C and 26°C.
In Anguilla, you’ll be able to have an enjoyable holiday at any time thanks to the consistently high temperatures. It is preferable all the same to avoid the months of September, October and November and instead opt for the driest, sunniest, low-rainfall months running from December to June.
